An inconsistent routine costs more than you think

Most people don’t feel the damage daily. It accumulates slowly in digestion, sleep, energy, and focus — until something breaks.

Icon
Disrupted sleep

When your sleep time shifts even 30–60 minutes each night, your body clock can't sync. You wake groggy, fall asleep late, and the cycle repeats.

Icon
Digestive strain

Your gut runs on a circadian rhythm. Eating at different times each day disrupts it — affecting lipid metabolism, gut microbial balance, and nutrient absorption.

Icon
Cognitive drain

Decision fatigue hits harder when your day is unpredictable. Without consistent structure, your brain burns extra energy just figuring out what to do next.

The awareness gap
The problem isn't willpower. It's visibility.

You can’t fix what you can’t see. Most people have no idea how far their actual day drifts from their plan — because nothing has ever shown them.

When did you really have lunch this week?
You think you know

"Around 1 or 2 PM most days." But without logging, you're guessing from memory — which systematically underestimates delays and drift.

Time perception is unreliable

Research shows people misremember routine timings by 30–90 minutes on average. Drift is invisible until it's measured.

Why it keeps happening

Without pattern data, you can't see that Wednesday is your worst day, or that drift always follows a late meeting. You keep "trying harder" at the wrong thing.

Why it matters
Consistency is the compound interest of health

Small daily drifts feel harmless in the moment. But they compound. A routine that’s 60% consistent produces 60% of the results.

Consistent timing matters

Going to sleep within the same window each night helps your body clock lock in and improves REM quality, especially when total sleep time is already in a healthy range. Your circadian rhythm thrives on predictability, not perfection.

Chronotype & REM study

Timing consistency accelerates habit lock-in

Habits form faster when a behavior is repeated consistently in the same context, because stable cues like time, place, or sequence help trigger automatic action. When routines drift too much, the cue-behavior link weakens and habit formation slows.

Lally et al., Eur. J. Soc. Psych. 2010

Inconsistency is the root cause — not lack of motivation

Most people blame themselves. The real issue is that they’ve never had a clear system to simplify choices and track their decision drift. Awareness and structure are the first step — without them, every attempt is guesswork

How it works?

Aligned tracks the gap between when you planned to do something and when it actually happened. You set up your ideal daily routine i.e. activities with planned times, then log the real time as each one occurs. The app shows your alignment state e.g., getting closer, aligned, drifting, holding steady etc, drift per activity, and patterns over weekly, monthly, and quarterly views.

Habit trackers only record yes or no, they don’t care when something happened.

To-do apps show your plan but ignore reality.

Aligned is specifically built around timing: not just whether you did something, but when you did it relative to your plan. That timing gap is what reveals drift patterns you can actually improve.

A flexibility window is a buffer you set on each activity i.e. 10 or 15 minutes. If your planned breakfast is 8:00 AM and you eat at 8:12 AM, it still counts as on time. This is designed for real life because small delays shouldn’t penalise your score or discourage honest logging.

You can choose when your day begins, whether that’s 5 AM, 9 AM, or noon. Activities are ordered around your chosen day start, so night owls and shift workers aren’t forced into a conventional 12-midnight cutoff. Based on start of day, order of your activities will be shown.

Anything in your daily routine e.g., meals, sleep, wake time, work start time/end time, workouts, breaks, medication, reading, and more. On the free plan you can track up to 5 activities. Aligned Plus+ removes this limit entirely.

Yes. You can set reminders for each activity based on its planned time. These nudge you to either start the activity or log it, keeping your data accurate without requiring you to remember manually.

Aligned gives you weekly trends, monthly patterns, and quarterly insights. You can see drift pattern of weekdays v/s weekends, which activities are hardest to keep on time, and whether your alignment state for individual activities is improving. Surfacing patterns you couldn’t see day-to-day.

Pricing & plans

The free plan lets you track up to 5 activities, view your alignment insights for last 7 days, and export your data to CSV up to 3 times. No account or sign-up required, just download and start.

Plus+ removes all limits: unlimited activities, weekly, monthly and quarterly insights, unlimited CSV exports, automatic iCloud sync across your devices, and manual backup and restore. It’s for people who want to build a complete picture of their routine without restriction.

Plus+ is available as a quarterly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. The lifetime plan includes all future updates with no recurring fees. All payments are processed securely through the App Store or Google Play.

Yes — the free plan is fully functional and available indefinitely. Track up to 5 activities, check weekly insights and get a real feel for how Aligned works before deciding whether to upgrade. 30-day free trial so you can give it a fair shot.

Since payments go through the App Store or Google Play, most billing issues — refunds, failed charges, subscription management — are handled directly by Apple or Google. If you’re still stuck, reach out to us at aligned.support@prismtree.com and we’ll help sort it out.

Privacy & data

No. Aligned is private by design. All your data i.e., your routine, your logs, your patterns is stored locally on your device only. Nothing is sent to any server. No analytics on your personal data.

No account is required — not even for Plus+. Download the app and start immediately. No email, no password, no sign-up of any kind.

Yes, completely. Aligned works without any internet connection. Everything runs on-device. iCloud sync (available on Plus+) only activates when you choose to back up — and only syncs to your own Apple account.

On the free plan, you can manually export your data to CSV up to 3 times. With Plus+, you get unlimited CSV exports anytime, plus automatic iCloud sync and manual backup and restore — so your data is safe even if you switch devices.

Your data stays on your device, always. Cancelling Plus+ doesn’t delete anything. You’ll have 15 days to decide how you want to continue i.e. either stay on the free plan (up to 5 activities) or re-subscribe to Plus+. If no action is taken after 15 days, the daily entry page will be paused, but your weekly insights and historical entires remain fully accessible at any time.
